Vincent Perez is a Swiss actor who gained recognition for his role as Christian in the 1990 French film Cyrano de Bergerac. Vincent portrayed the protagonist Ashe Corven in the 1996 film The Crow: City of Angels, the first sequel to the original 1994 film.

Early Life

Vincent Perez was born on 10 June 1964 in Lausanne, Switzerland to a Spanish father Who worked in the import export business and German mother who was a housewife. Vincent started studying acting in Geneva, he then attended CNSAD and completed his studies at the school of the Théâtre Nanterre- Amandiers.


Vincent’s breakthrough role was as Christian opposite Gérard Depardieu in Cyrano de Bergerac in 1990. His performance earned him a Cesar award nomination. He has appeared in a number of films starring along side Catherine Deneuve, Kim Basinger, Isabelle Adjani and Aaliyah. Vincent also starred as Ashe Corven, the protagonist of the 1996 film The Crow: City of Angels, the first sequel to the original 1994 film. Vincent also starred as Vincent Revel in Paris enquêtes criminelles, the French remake of the American television series Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Vincent also directed to short films, L’echange and Rien à dire, which have both been nominated for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes film festival.

Vincent is also a photographer and has exhibited his work during festivals and in art galleries. His exhibition, face to face, featured photographs of Carla Bruni, Johnny Hallyday and Gerard Depardiu. It was unveiled at Rencontres d’Arles in Arles, France. In 2012 he exhibited his photographs of the dancers from the Bolshoi Ballet at RuArts In Moscow, Russia. He exhibited them again two years later in 2014 at the Academia Fine Art Gallery in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Personal Life

Vincent married to French actress Karine Silla in 1998. They have three children, Iman (b. 1999) and Pablo and Tess (b. 2003).
