Spider Monkey was one of Judah Earl’s minions from The Crow: City of Angels. He is portrayed by Vincent Castellanos.
Past[]
One night, Spider Monkey is helping Curve beat a man to death while Nemo films and Kali stands close by. When the group spots Danny and Ashe, Spider Monkey hits Ashe in the head. When the group captures Ashe and Danny, Spider partakes in taunting the pair. Spider Monkey tells Danny “Stop wasting your breath Angelito”. Spider Monkey watches as Curve and Kali shoot and kill Ashe and Danny respectively, then toss their bodies into the water before leaving.
The Crow: City of Angels[]
Sometime after the murders, Spider Monkey is in a lab high on drugs, unbeknownst to him he’s being watched by the crow. He’s startled when he hears noises coming from outside. Just then, a resurrected Ashe breaks in through the roof. Spider Monkey, not initially recognizing Ashe, demands to know who he is. Ashe asks “Does the corpse have a familiar face?” When Spider Monkey realizes it’s Ashe, he panics and tries to run but Ashe catches up with him. When Spider Monkey tells Ashe he’s supposed to be dead, Ashe apologizes for disappointing him and throws him into oil drums. When Spider Monkey tries running again, Ashe restrains Spider Monkey, threatening to ignite the oil drums with a lit match, demanding to know the other people responsible for his and Danny’s deaths. Spider Monkey complies and tells him their names; Nemo, Kali, Curve and Judah. Spider Monkey then tells Ashe where he can find Nemo.
After he does, Ashe lets him go and congratulates Spider Monkey for giving himself a fighting chance. Ashe pulls out a deck of cards and urges him to pick a card. Although hesitant, Spider Monkey picks a card out of the deck, as does Ashe. Spider Monkey reveals he picked a Jack of Diamonds while Ashe reveals he picked a King of Diamonds. Ashe tells Spider Monkey that “Lady Luck’s a bitch” and he tosses the deck in Spider Monkey’s face. As Spider Monkey pleads for his life when Ashe lights another match, Ashe uses Spider Monkey’s quote against him “You’re wasting your breath Angelito. Nobody’s up there listening”. Just then, Ashe ignites the oil drums, causing the lab to blow up and Spider Monkey is burned alive.
