Sophia is a character in the 2024 The Crow film. She is portrayed by Josette Simon. She is the mother of Shelly Webster.
Biography[]
Sophia is the mother of Shelly. She first appears when she visits Shelly at a rehab center. However, this visit is fraught with tension because she is accompanied by Marion and Lex, two of Roeg's enforcers. Shelly is immediately alarmed by their presence.
Later in the film, Sophia's connection to Vincent Roeg becomes clearer. Roeg visits Sophia at her home, where she reveals that she regrets a deal she made with him. This deal seems to have involved some form of betrayal or sacrifice, which has led to severe consequences for both her and Shelly. Sophia's guilt and regret are palpable in this scene, as she expresses that she believes she should have died instead of living with the burden of her choices.
Roeg, demonstrating his manipulative and sinister powers, whispers something into Sophia's ear during this encounter. This causes Sophia to act against her will; under Roeg's influence, she tragically throws herself out of a window to her death.
