Mark Dacascos is an American actor, martial artist and television personality. Mark’s best known roles are as Mani in the French film, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Toby Wong in the film Drive, Ling in the film Cradle 2 the Grave and more recently as Zero, the main assassin in John Wick: Chapter 3- Parabellum. Mark portrayed Eric Draven in the 1998 television series The Crow: Stairway to Heaven.
Early Life[]
Mark Alan Dacascos was born on February 24, 1964 in Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S to Al Dacascos and Moriko McVey- Murray. Mark attended Los Angeles Valley College and was on its 1983–1984 gymnastics team. Mark also attended Portland State University.
Career[]
In his early career, Mark was slated to play the red ranger in a show that was named Bio Man although the show was never picked up and eventually developed into Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Mark’s breakthrough role was as Louis in the 1993 film Only the Strong. The following year, Mark starred alongside Scott Wolf in the film Double Dragon based of the video game.
He also plays the role of the Chairman of Iron Chef America and Iron Chef Australia.
Mark has been featured in many action films such as Brotherhood of the Wolf, which earned him a nomination for the sad an award for best supporting actor, Crying Freeman, and Cradle 2 the Grave where he faces off against Jet Li. He was also a voice actor for the video game Stranglehold, live acted in Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom, and he digitally re-created The Chairman in the Iron Chef America Supreme: Cuisine Video game for Wii.
Mark also starred as Eric Draven in the 1998 television series The Crow: Stairway to Heaven, a follow up the the original 1994 film. Mark also appeared in the children’s television show, Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight as Master Eubulon.
Mark has a recurring role as Wo Fat in the series Hawaii Five-0. He portrayed Kung Lao in the second season of the YouTube series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. He portrayed Mr. Giyera in season three of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Recently, Mark displayed Zero, the main antagonist in the 2019 action film John Wick: Chapter 3- Parabellum. He is set to star in a recurring role Netflix series, Wu Assassins.
Personal Life[]
Mark married actress Julie Condra in 1998 and they have three children together; Makoa, Noelani and Kapono.

- Mark is of Spanish, Filipino and Chinese descent on his father’s side, and of Irish and Japanese descent on his mother’s side
- Most of Mark’s Japanese relatives on his mother’s side where killed in the bombing of Hiroshima
- Mark is proficient in Wun Hop Kuen Do, a style of martial arts created by his father, he’s also proficient in Muay Thai, Capoeira, and Wushu
- Mark knew Brandon Lee, who played Eric Draven in the 1994 film The Crow, as a child because their mothers were friends.
